The Greenbelt Master Plan describes the purpose of the Greenbelt and its role at a national and a regional level. It outlines the values that should inform any decisions made pertaining to the Greenbelt. The master plan also defines the roles and function of each unique area within the Greenbelt, and sets policies for the following:
The Greenbelt Master Plan was adopted in 2013. The NCC will review the plan every 10 years to ensure the continued protection of the Greenbelt.
